The First Two Chapters of My Story "Confidential"

Chapter 1
Josephina
Mom always said to stop, look, and listen, and to think twice before you act. Well, I probably should have thought twice before locking myself in the janitor’s closet when I saw a teacher walk by. (No, I’m not kidding.)
I searched my tangle of brunette hair, until I found what I was looking for. A small silver bobby-pin, the second most useful device in spy history (second only to the silent gun), and not only because a bobby-pin can be seriously useful with hair emergencies. At ten years old, I was going to pick a lock.
As soon as I was out of the (very smelly) place, I pulled out my flashlight and clicked it on. I crossed the hall casting shadows over the walls like dancing figures in the night. Correction, it was morning; 3 am. And I still was at school.
I quickly turned the knob of the door I was facing, and my nostrils flared to the fresh, Brooklyn, air. I saw the black limousine pulled up by the curb, and one thing was for certain. I had completed my first mission: Stay in the school unnoticed past midnight. Then, remembering that I wasn’t actually supposed to see the limousine driver, I pulled out a small pill, swallowed, and everything turned black. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Seven
Years Later

“Yeah, he’s cute”, I said to my sort-of-best-friend, Natalie, as we glided through the halls of Canarsie High School to second period. We were gossiping about the most popular boy in school, Jake.
“Come on Josephina, I know you like his friend David.” My sort-of-best-friend only grinned when I responded “sidekick”, (which is true because David doesn’t like Jake anyway) and shrugged. I know it might sound strange that I like the sidekick instead of the hero, but in my opinion, the sidekick does all the calculations and gives all the moral support, when the hero just basically…well has a cool superpower. In other words, the hero would be nothing without the sidekick, but the sidekick would still be a pure genius. (David is on the honor roll, BTW.)
Thankfully, I was saved by the bell for second period.
“Oh. My. God. We are like two miles away from Mr. Asurè’s room”, Nat said. (Correction: exactly 23.6 meters.) I grabbed my books and we ran, quickly conjuring up excuses in our heads.

I had an appointment with Gary Clark, head of YGYS (Young Girls, Young Spies) for my next mission. The awkward thing was, since I was still only a Level 2 agent, I wasn’t actually supposed to see the building. (Seriously, they had to blindfold me.)
“Josephina Rachel, you have successfully completed your last mission, but I’m afraid your next won’t be so easy.” I couldn’t actually see Gary’s face, but I’m sure it was occupied by a wide grin.
“What do you mean”, I asked skeptically (thank God they didn’t give me a gag too).
“Well, have you ever heard of the YBYS, Jo?”
“Young Boys, Young Spies,” I whispered “yeah, they’re our competitors.”
“Exactly, I’m afraid to say this, but one of them goes to your school, and he’s trying to find our secrets, Jo. Do you know what that means?”
I nodded.
“You want me to find out everything I can about him, stop him, and at the same time, not let him know that I belong to YGYS.”
“Of course, Jo. But, you will also have to steal his permanent record.”
I nodded, not wanting to question Gary Clark.
“What’s his name?”
Gary paused before replying, “His name’s David Fisher…
